Description

The Pinacothèque de Paris puts on a new exhibition which takes a fresh look at the work and influence of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (1863-1944).

Munch, whose greatest known single work was "The Scream or The Cry", played a vital role in the development of European expressionism. His early work often portrayed themes of misery, sickness, and death.

The Munch Exhibition in Paris takes a new look at his work including prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, photographs and films to give a thorough understanding of this artist and his legacy.
